PSNA The Essentials of Food Safety
CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety

This is a half-day, induction level Food Safety course designed for anyone will be involved in food preparation, cooking or handling. The course focuses on the information that employees need to know before they start work in a food environment. Food handlers should then go on to undertake a Basic/Level 2 Food Safety course within 3 months of starting work.

  • Identify common food hazards
  • Describe common symptoms of food poisoning and those most at risk
  • Understand their responsibilities in respect of personal hygiene
