PSNA Introduction to Fire Safety

This 1 1/2 hour course is designed as an induction for all new staff or can be used as a refresher for existing staff. We will attend your place of work for a half day or full day and run multiple sessions for groups of up to 16 delegates per session.
Course Aims and Objectives Course Programme
After completing this course, delegates will: be able to:
  • List the damage that can be caused by fire
  • Explain the control measures needed for fire protection
  • Explain the requirements for fire - the 'Fire Triangle'
  • Describe what action to take on discovering a fire
  • List ways of putting out a fire
  • Explain what different types of fire extinguisher and fire blankets are used to extinguish
  • Introduction to Fire Safety
  • Fire protection and prevention
  • Action on discovering a fire
  • Fire evacuation procedures

There is no assessment for this course but attendance records will be provided.
